2022 Lewisville Civic Club Christmas Parade- Press Release
The 2022 Lewisville Christmas Paradeis one of the largest Christmas parades in the Triad. The 37th Annual Lewisville Christmas Parade is scheduled for Sunday, December 11th at 3:00 pm. Entry Deadline is December 8th, 2022
Each year brings more participation than the year before as parade crowds grow larger and larger. There is usually a large number of floats, dance and drill teams, marching bands from local High Schools plus lots of candy for kids of all ages. It is a very exciting event for citizens as we showcase the beautiful town of Lewisville, NC every year.
We encourage Lewisville citizens to come out, join the fun and get your Christmas festivities jump-started.
MASKS ARE ENCOURAGED BUT NOT MANDATED FOR OUTDOOR EVENTS. IT IS UP TO EACH GROUP LEADER TO MAKE REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR GROUP AND ENFORCE THAT DECISION.
“For those interested in participating in the parade, now is the time to sign up,” according to Mrs. Maureen Barton, Director of the Parade for the Lewisville Civic Club. Parade rules and regulations as well as Parade Entry Forms can be found at our website: www.lewisvillecivicclub.com
Mrs. Barton can be contacted with parade questions via email to lvholiday123@aol.com. For updates about the parade, please visit our Facebook page at Lewisville Civic Club Christmas Parade. Make sure to like our page to receive instant updates.
Roads into Lewisville will be closed to traffic at 2:30p until the conclusion of the parade at the discretion of Law Enforcement and Parade Director. The parade point of origin is at the intersection of Shallowford and Lewisville Vienna Roads. The parade proceeds down Shallowford Rd, then turns at the Oaks Shopping Center on Williams Road, turns again on Belnette and ends at The Shallowford Square.
The staging of parade participants depends on the type of entry and can be found in the rules and regulations.
Signs, safety cones and barricades will be placed the day before the event to remind residents of road closures and delays. Please refrain from moving cones and barricades, unless directed to move them by Law Enforcement, Parade Marshalls or Parade Director. They are placed for the safety of participants of the parade and spectators.
Parade is ending when either the Parade Director or Law Enforcement vehicle passes after Santa Float. We ask for the safety of all parade participants, do not try to pass or intersect any parade vehicle at the conclusion of the parade. Even if the last float passes your area, the parade is still ongoing until it reaches its final destination, which is the area in the Lewisville Shopping Center parking lot on Shallowford Road. Please remember, Safety First!
